This is not a mod. Here's something new in a Harriet-level kind of insanity. You can now play as an animal! Take your animal form and play as an animal. Here's a guide to immerse yourself into the wilds of Red Dead Online.

According to Red Dead Online digest "Science is oftentimes stranger than fiction. After the recent discovery of a new herb, Harrietum Officinalis, Miss Davenport believes she may have uncovered a way to experience the life of a humble Buck. Naturalists who follow the steps in Harriet’s gratis Buck Vitalism Studies Pamphlet can discover how to have this truly out-of-body experience, and also receive a Reward for a free Treasure Map. Naturalists must be Rank 5 or above to inquire about Harriet’s knowledge of Vitalism Studies."

How to Guide to take your Animal Form

You need: Naturalist role, level 5 Naturalist to take the transformation.
Talk to Harriet for a short cutscene, after you will end up with the vitalism studies pamphlet and drank a potion.
Find at least 5 Harrietum Officianalis, a new flower collectible
Locate and meditate to the mystical tree found in West Elizabeth.
Viola! Take your animal form, take on other animals or risk it by taking on other fellow players, play in the perspective of an animal you been hunting.

Animal Form Combat Controls

You have limited time during the animal form, you can tap the fire button to attack an animal
There's no minimap, compass or anything else but the perspective of animal roaming the wilds
You can still open the big map for guidance, but you also have limited range to roam.
Your interface button on bottom right will appear when your transformation if about to expire, you can extend your transformation by pressing the interact
You will be on offensive mode during transformation
After the time expires, you will return to normal
Go back to Harriet to get an additional dialogue
