Legendary pelts are the only way to unlock Secret Garment Sets at Gus Macmillan.

Best Weapons / Guns for Pelts
Use the weapon or gun you’re most comfortable with, adapting to each situation — from small to large targets, from fleeing prey to lethal predator, whether facing a solitary animal or a group encounter.
- Carcano Rifle → best long‑range damage
- Rolling Block Rifle → high power, slow but reliable
- Bolt‑Action / Springfield → budget starter rifles
- Elephant Rifle → powerful medium range encounters
- Any Repeaters → use express ammo to maximize dps
- Navy Revolver / LeMat → backup for its lethal protectors, small targets or desperate times
