Assassin's Creed Odyssey Legendary Animals Complete Walkthrough Guide
Welcome hunter to our guide in locating and defeating all the legendary animals in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Legendary animals are basically mini-bosses in the game found in specific places much harder than the alpha animals and more of the equivalent of war elephants in the previous Assassin's Creed Origins just smaller, agile and varied.

It begins with the Dahpnae, the leader of the huntress faction in the game, Daughters of Artemis. Going back to her after defeating each animal has chances in romance between your chosen misthios.

Where is Dahpnae of Daughters of Artemis?
Find Dahpnae early in the game after the prologue, she is northern Phokis just below the synchronization point, Temple of Artemis. She will give you the quest "The Daughters of Artemis" where you will be asked to defeat a legendary animal the Kalydonian Boar.
Where is the Kalydonian Boar?

Kalydonian Boar is in Phokis same as Daphnae. Be at least level 19 to defeat the Kalydonian Boar unless your game is patched that automatically levels all npc according to player. Just like any boars in the game this one is fast and can knock you down easily, it summons normal boars to join the fight before finally going down. Go back to Dahpnae and get the legendary bow as a reward.
Accomplishing this initial quest yields the second part of map-wide hunt for the rest of the legendary animals. Below is the guide in locating and hunting all the legendary animals for the "The Goddess's Hunt" side quest.
Where is the The Kretan Bull?

Find this animal in Western Fertile Battleground by sailing south to find Messara. Be at least level 33, Kretan bull charges forward be ready to dodge or you will be knocked down. After beating it down to half of its health, it will be galloping with side kicking motion stay away from it, let your fire and poison bows do the killing. Overpower attacks from fast weapons like sword and daggers can end it. Loot it and go back to Daphnae.
Where is the Kallisto The Bear?

Find this overgrown bear northeast of Arkadia in Southeast Golden Fields. Fight him when you are at least level 36. He has a strong mauling damage but can easily be dodged thanks to its huge hide shadowing you. Combine melee and range to beat him easily and move on.

Where is the The Erymanthian Boar?

Locate this poisoner just west of Erymanthos Foothills in northern central Elis. This fight is for level 38. Be wary of the oil jars lying around if you are using fire arrows. range weapons triggers him to fart poison cloud while lunging at you. Use your second wind tier 2 to heal and remove the poison and avoid the cloud. This will be a difficult battle unless you can melee and dodge his him, land serious critical overpower or charged attacks to end it. Go back to Dahpnae or continue on.
Where is the The Hind Of Keryneia?

Travel north west of Euboea and find the marsh south of Artemision Point. This level 25 female stag is the only version of the game that can attack you. She has a unique attack if you failed to dodge her charge, she will trap you on the ground with her horns. It is also her weakness, pummel her to end the battle and loot.
Where is the The Krokottas Hyena?

The only one of its kind, this hyena is found in Kythera island, in Skandeia Bay. Be at level 38 at least. Very straight forward fast attacker but not enough to face a charged heavy blunt. Repeat a few times and done.
Where is the The Lykaon Wolf ?

Be ready to face a pack of wolves and its alpha at level 35. They are waiting at a clearing in Dioskouroi Peninsula down east of Lakonia. The Lykaon wolf is not hard to kill but you can be overwhelmed by the pack of wolves simultaneously attacking you. Aim you bows to multiple targets while moving constantly and it will be over soon.
Where is the The Nemean Lion?

This old striped white lion lives in a den in Sinkholes of Herakles, just south of Argolis. Kill the rest of the level 25 lions with him before jumping down and pick a fight. His attacks is very much like the regular lion in the game just bigger and stronger.
