Here's are 7 easy steps on how to get a ship and upgrade it with cannons and armaments. Plus tips and tricks that will make you the most feared pirate in the upcoming game from Ubisoft, Skull and Bones.

7 Easy Steps in upgrading your boat into a ship

1. Finish “Appointment with Power” story mission

2. Get "Tools of the Trade" contract from Shipwright.

3. Complete "Tools of the Trade" contract.

4. Get Acacia & deliver to the Carpenter.

5. Buy the ship you like and find the Blacksmith.

6. Get metal & iron from flotsams or mine it.

7. Go back and buy cannons from the Blacksmith.

Skull and Bones upgrading guide

First of all, play the story until the “Appointment with Power” mission. Next gain infamy, and gather resources to upgrade your ship and cannons by taking the "Tools of the Trade" contract from the Shipwright. You can get resources by exploring the map, or looting flotsams and enemy ships. Each resource is used for different upgrades, so you'll need to collect them all.

Acacia tree location

Gather metal salvage and iron ingots from flotsams or mine it in the nearby islands just South East of the Acacia locations. To buy or craft your ship, buy the blueprint from the Shipwright. for the guns and cannons visit the Carpenter. That's it, you are now ready to sail away with an actual ship capable of defeating your enemies and raid with your friends.
