R rated Hellboy Sequel goes to Game of Thrones Director

Mike Mignola says hurrah for Hellboy 3! It will be a new take on Hellboy, Guillermo Del Toro passes on the director's torch and the Hellboy actor Ron Perlman, who embodied the charm of Red won't' be reprising the role either. Guillermo Del Toro's vision will be missed, it was the major component that made the wonderful creatures and world of Hellboy distinct.

to Hell with this

But there's something good to look forward to. Hellboy will be reprised by David Harbour who we all know as Jim Hopper from Netflix thriller "Stranger Things". The look of future Hellboy is evident by David's profile picture on his Twitter account. Uncanny resemblance right?

Dave is the new Red

And here's the kicker, if you love the "BlackWater" episode of Game of Thrones and the "Watchers on the Wall", then you will be loving this next Hellboy film because Neil Marshall will be its director.

If you are familiar with Game of Thrones' "Blackwater", it was the ninth episode of season 2, where Stannis' troops attacked the King's Landing. And "Watchers on the Wall" is the first part of the final episode of season 4 where the wildlings attack castle Black with their giants and mammoth. Neil Marshall directed these two pivotal episodes that garnered 9.5 and 9.7 ratings in IMDB respectively. The similarity of these two episodes are the large scale battle scenes that were never done before during those times in HBO or Game of Thrones running. Nowadays when we think of epic GoT battle scenes,  "The Battle of Bastards" is the episode to beat.

extinct this!
Now let us imagine that with Hellboy 3, shifting to R rating now makes more sense. Mike Mignola promised more news and updates will be announced on this next Hellboy installment. Which story Hellboy 3 will be based on? Will the rest of the gang return like Liz, Abe and Manning?
