Deadpool 2 was rumored to be a story involving the X-men just like the first film but this time with time-travelling super mutant Cable. After months of speculations, finally Mr. Pool himself took to the Twitter who would play as Cable.

Yes it is confirmed, its none other than Josh Brolin who also is playing Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Josh Brolin confirm this by posting in his Instagram an image of the X-men mutant with the words "When you have a man-crush on Ryan Reynolds, what do you do? CRUSH IT!!!!!"

Josh Brolin is certainly not the first one to be cast in two different roles in the same universe. MCU's Captain America actor Chris Evans before was The Human Torch in the two Fantastic Four Marvel adaptations in 2005 and 2007.

Deadpool Ryan Reynolds is no stranger in this dual identities since he also was the Green Lantern from Marvel's opposing superhero studios DCU. Similar case to Ben Affleck playing the new Batman in Zack Snyder's take on the Justice League line up who was Marvel's blind justice big screen adaptation of Daredevil in 2003.
