Crossing-fingers on Destiny 2 for PC

On October 24th, Destiny 2 is coming to knock on our PC Gaming doors. The past beta cannot tell us what is going to happen on its release date, but so far things are looking up. Best time to be a PC gamer with the upcoming techs and future of PC gaming on the rise. Bungie is embracing PC gamers again with the help of Blizzard Entertainment, despite becoming a rival to Overwatch. All editions of Destiny 2 will be available for purchase on the Blizzard app (former Battlenet).

Bringing in the big guns this October

Xbox and PC in One
Bungie denied PC gamers from its first installment despite the developer's early history on making games for Mac and PC. The simultaneous integration of Xbox and PC gaming platform announced by Microsoft this year may have been the main reason to indulge the PC gamers this time around. Bungie's Halo series was the pre-dominant FPS game on Xbox during its launch that also made its way to the hearts of PC gamers.

Recommended Specs and 4K gaming
A perfect time to upgrade your rig? The recommended specs for Destiny 2 is pretty much tied to the latest gaming specs containing the Nvidia 10 series and AMD Radeon R9 or newer. As expected this game is optimized to handle 4K. Yes, that is right, optimized. Perhaps maybe even VR? Only the future knows. There are new releases for PC that are playable on 4K but are not optimized for playing 4K.

Binoculars needed

In reference to 4K gaming, check this screenshot of the game we have been playing these couple of days, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire. When played on 4K resolution, the interface is too small that you need to look closer to read what is going on. But removing the HUD  reveals the quality eye candies of the game as shown on this video.

Lack of Dedicated Servers
Just like Ubisoft's For Honor and upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands, Destiny 2 will use peer to peer connection for multiplayer matches. This is the part we have to cross our fingers, For Honor was criticized by the gamers because of the lack of dedicated servers. Yet the trend of using peer to peer connection on video games is also on the rise. It may mean more money for the gaming studios, this translates to possible nightmares to the gamers. Lots of us gamers avoid that kind of games, it is the breeding ground of toxic player base.

Multiplayer sessions can be so frustrating, you will be spending so many times on lobbies and loading screens staring at your connection status. When the chosen host quits or experienced a mishap mid-game, the progress of the group is affected. Like what we have experienced lately for the open beta of Ghost Recon Wildlands shown below.
