“In my mind, I thought it was a cathartic thing to go back to work, to just bury myself and see if that was the way through it,” as Snyder told the press of Hollywood Reporter. Zack Snyder's cited his daughter's death caused by suicide last March as the primary reason for the move. Deborah is joining the Man of Steel director, whom she is raising seven children and step-kids, to give their family a time to heal.
The Snyder duo told the Hollywood Reporter “The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realization … I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me. They are all having a hard time. I’m having a hard time.” Warner Bros. Pictures president Toby Emmerich supported the Snyders with the statement “What they are going through is unimaginable, and my heart — our hearts — go out to them,"
The Justice League film is already in post-production and will now be lead by Joss Whedon aiming to be released this year as scheduled. The news will be a huge setback to the DCEU, no doubt. Zack Snyder is the pillar of DC Cinematic Extended Universe who envisioned its realization when he made the Man of Steel and teased Justice League triumvirate Batman, Wonderwoman and Superman in his Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. He also written the story of Wonderwoman and credited as the producer of all the announced DCEU films including The Flash, Suicide Squad 2, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Deadshot and Gotham City Sirens.
